Schezwan Sauce


 sesame oil : 1/4 cup

 whole red peppers : 4

 onions          : 3 (chopped fine)

 garlic : 1 tbsp

 ginger : 1 tbsp

 chilli powder : 1/2 tbsp

 corn flour mixed in a cup of water : 2 tbsp

 vinegar : 1 tsp

 soya sauce : 1 tsp 

 chilli sauce : 1 tsp

 salt : 1 tsp

  1. Grind together the onions, garlic and ginger.
  2. Heat the oil in a wok add the whole red peppers and saute over high heat till they darken a bit.
  3. Add the onions, garlic and ginger and stir-fry over high heat till glossy.
  4. Add the corn flour mixture and bring to a boil.
  5. Lower the heat and add the chilli powder, vinegar, soya sauce, chilli sauce and salt and mix well.
  6. Cook till well blended (1/2 minute) and use.

szechuan chicken recipe


  • Szechuan sauce : 2 tbsp
  • chicken wings/cubes : 2 pounds
  • self-rising flour : 1 cup
  • sugar : 3 tbsp
  • soy sauce: 1 cup
  • water: 1 cup
  • lemon juice: 3 tbsp
  • baking powder : 1/2 tsp
  • salt : 1/2 tsp
  • oil for fry


  1. Combine the soy sauce, sugar, water, garlic, lemon juice and chili sauce in a plastic bag.
  2. shift flour, salt and baking powder to mix well and place in another plastic bag. Add chicken wings one by one and shake to coat.
  3. Heat oil and fry chicken until golden brown. Add fried chicken pieces to soy sauce plastic bag mixture and shake well to coat.
  4. Place all pieces in a plate and serve with Szechuan Sauce and white rice.

Szechuan Vegetable Fingers Recipe


cabbage : 1 cup grated

carrot : 1 diced

potatoes : 2 medium sized boiled & mashed

garlic : 1 tsp

onion : 1 tbsp chopped

Schezwan sauce : 2 tsp

green capsicum : 1 chopped

soy sauce : 1 tbsp

white flour : 2 tbsp

eggs : 1

bread crumbs : 1 cup

oil to fry

salt and pepper to taste



Heat 2 tbsp oil in a nonstick pan and saute garlic. Now add all vegetables and mix well.
Add Schezwan sauce, soy sauce, salt and pepper and cook for a few minutes. Now add potatoes to the mixture and remove form heat. Place the mixture in a bowl. In another container beat egg with flour. Shape potato mixture in fingers. Dip all fingers in egg mixture and then roll in bread crumbs. Heat oil in a sauce pan. Deep fry fingers and serve with the sauce.

Cheese & Vegetable Prata Recipe

Ingredients for Prata dough

    • flour: 1/2 kg (White)
    • salt :1 tsp
    • sugar: 2 tsp
    • baking powder : 1 tsp

Make a medium soft dough and refrigerate it.
Ingredients for filling:

  • green onion : 2 (chopped
  • capsicum : 1  small ( chopped )
  • green chillies: 2 (chopped )
  • red chillies: 1/4 tsp
  • potato : 1  medium sized (boiled & mashed)
  • cheddar cheese :3/4 cup (grated)
  • moralize cheese: 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Chili sauce: 1 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients.

Make small balls with the dough. Flatten them on hard surface and make roti (bread) of any shape, square or circle. Take a roti put some filling in it then take another roti and cover it. Close the sides with folk and fry it in heated oil on medium flame till golden brown.

Serve it with sauce or dip.
