Ingredients:
For cake topping:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can pineapple rings
  • 6 cherries
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease muffin tins with oil or butter.
2. In a bowl, add eggs, white sugar, and pineapple juice. Beat for 2 minutes.
3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
4. In a  sauce pan, melt the butter and add the brown sugar. Stir on low heat for one minute.
How to make layers?
1. Spoon a layer of the warm brown sugar mixture into the bottom of each muffin tin, then place a pineapple ring on top. Add a cherry in the middle of each pineapple.
2. Pour cake mixture over to fill muffin tin 3/4 of the way full.
3. Bake cakes for 20 minutes.
4. Remove from the oven. Let cool in pan for 3 minutes. Run a knife around the edge of each cake to help loosen in case it sticks a little.  5. Place a wire cooling rack on top, and quickly flip over on top of sheet tray to catch extra drippings.

how to make Jalebi?


Ingredients:
• 2 cups self raising flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1 cup yogurt
• Oil for deep frying
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 cup water
• Few strands saffron/saffron powder
• 1/4 tsp cardamom powder/ essence
• 2 drops orange food color (optional)
• 2 tbsp rose water
Preparation:
1. Sift flour and baking powder 3-4 times through sieve.
2. In a separate bowl, mix food color, saffron and yogurt.
3. Now mix yogurt mixture into sifted flour and baking powder. Use warm water
(if need).  Put aside this batter for  1-2 hours.
4. Place a pan with 2 cup water, rose water and sugar on the stove. Cook it till sugar
melts and it changes to sticky golden syrup. Turn off stove and add cardamom
powder/essence and stir it for a few minutes.
5. In another pan, heat oil for wok frying.
6. Pour batter in a ketchup dispenser.
7. Squeeze batter from dispenser over the heated oil in coiled circles. Do this randomly to make a thick coil. Fry till light golden.
8. Remove it from oil and put it directly into the golden syrup.
9. Soak it into the syrup for approximately 5 minutes then remove and place it in a dry  serving dish.

German Style Eiskaffee

how to make German Style Eiskaffee (Iced Coffee Drink)
Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream, good quality
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled,to taste
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream, sweetened,to taste
  • 1 teaspoon grated sweet chocolate, to garnish,approximately
  • 1 fancy wafer cookies (in a cylander or a heart shape)
Directions:
1- Place ice cream scoop into a decorative tall clear glass.
2- Add coffee to fill glass 1/2-3/4 full (amount will vary based on size of glass).
3- Completely cover with a mountain of sweetened whipped cream (use the canned kind or a decorating bag to make decorative swirls)- the whipped cream should be plentiful and just start to peak over the top of the glass rim.
4- Sprinkle with freshly grated good quality chocolate.
5- Stick a wafer cookie into the whipped cream off to the side.
6- Serve with some sugar on the side (for those who want to add more sweetness- although the ice cream and the whipped cream pretty much cover this), a long spoon, and a straw.

chicken mandi recipe

Mandi is a traditional Saudi Arabia (Gulf) dish. It can be made with lamb or chicken with rice.
Ingredients for chicken:

  •  4 - 6 pieces chicken
  • 2 tbsp Mandi mix spice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  1. Rub salt and the mandi mix spices thoroughly on the chicken.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. 
How to make Mandi mix spice:
  • 1tbsp Cardamom pods
  • 1 tbsp Cloves
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • ½ Nutmeg
  • ½ tbsp Ginger paste
  • 2 Bay leaves
  1. Blend  spices together until finely crushed.
  2. Place the chicken in a frying pan and then cook without any oil or water till it’s cooked from the inside and turns brown from the outside.
Ingredients for rice:
  • 1 ½ cups Basmati rice
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 small Onion  (finely chopped)
  • 1 small Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 4 Whole cardamom
  • 4 Whole cloves
  • 6 Black peppercorns
  • 2 cups Chicken stock
  • ½ tsp Yellow food color
Directions:
  1. Saute onion with butter until tender and brown, add whole spices, salt, rice and chicken stock. Now stir, boil then add chopped tomato. Place chicken over the rice then cover and reduce heat to low. Cook (do not remove lid) for 25 minutes.
    For serving:
    • Place chicken in a bowl and put a small piece of foil (enough so that a coal piece can be placed over it easily, without touching the chicken) in the center.
    • Now place a red hot coal onto the foil and drop 1 tsp oil over it and shut its lid.
    • Remove coal and foil and pour rice around chicken pieces

  2. Served with Cucumber Raita or yogurt dip.

Shanghai Style Noodles With Spicy Meat Sauce



·        Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  •  ½ White pepper
  •  ¼ cup Chili sauce
  • 1 cup vermicelli (pasta)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onion
Directions:

1- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok.
2- Add garlic, ginger root, and pepper flakes and saute about 5 seconds.
3- Add onions and stir fry until translucent, about 5 minutes.
4- Stir in ground meat, breaking it up with a spoon or spatula.
5- Cook until meat has lost pink color.
6- Combine 1/2 cup chicken broth, chili sauce and soy sauce.
7- Stir into meat mixture.
8- Cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring once or twice.
9- Meanwhile, dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining 1/2 cup of chicken broth.
10- Slowly stir into meat mixture and cook and stir until sauce thickens.
11- In a big bowl, toss warm cooked vermicelli (pasta) with sesame oil.
12- Pour sauce over top and toss gently to combine.
13- Sprinkle with sliced green onions and pepper.

koya pudding recipe

Ingredients:
Milk: 3 cups
Khoya: ½ cup
Sugar: ½ cup
Eggs: 4
Bread: 6 (slices)
Butter: 1 tsp
Cardamom powder: 1 tsp
Saffron: 1 tsp
Silver foil: 1 sheet
Method:
Soak the bread slices in water. Heat milk on medium flame and add sugar & khoya and stir till it dissolves. Squeeze out water from bread and put these slices in the milk. Add the saffron and cardamom. Now cook for 10 minutes until the liquid becomes slightly thick. Add butter and stir again. Remove from fire. Beat it in eggs when it slightly cools. Finally bake it in a greased oven proof dish in a moderate oven about 300degree for half an hour. Serve hot or cold according to your choice and decorate with silver paper.
Variations:
* Khoya can be replaced by dry milk (powdered milk by mix it in water to make thick paste)
* Garnish grated pistachio and almond instead of silver paper (before serving).
