French Onion Soup


  1. Onion: 2 medium sized (chopped)
  2. Oil: 4 tsp
  3. Beef broth: 4 cups
  4. Flour: 50 g
  5. Garlic: 1/tsp (optional)
  6. Cheese: grated ½ cup
  7. Parsley: 2 tbsp (chopped)
  8. French bread: 4 slices
  9. Salt and pepper to taste
 Heat oil on medium flame, add onion & garlic and fry for 10 minutes. Take a bowl and pour soup, now mix it gradually with oil and onion and add salt and pepper according to your taste. For serving pour the mixture in an oven proof bowl and dip slices in it. Sprinkle cheese and parsley at the top. Now bake it for 10 minutes in the preheated oven at 350 degree (Microwave can also be used). Variations: 1-chicken soup can be used instead of beef broth. 2- Bread and cheese is optional, soup can be served with meal for before meal.
